Notification Preferences

How Notifications Work

GBPCentral sends you notifications about important events related to your business profiles. These can be delivered in two ways: as in-app notifications (visible in the notification center within the platform) and as emails. You control which notifications you receive and how they are delivered.

Setting Your Preferences

Go to Notifications in the sidebar, then click Preferences. Here you can configure:

  • Review Alerts — Get notified when a new review is posted or when a negative review needs attention. You can set the star rating threshold that triggers an alert.
  • Verification Changes — Be alerted when your account's verification status changes.
  • Ranking Changes — Receive notifications when your search ranking improves or drops.

For each type, you can toggle email delivery and in-app delivery separately.

Email Digests

Instead of receiving individual emails for every event, you can opt for a digest. The digest bundles your notifications into a single summary email. You can choose:

  • Frequency — Daily, weekly, or never.
  • Delivery Time — What time of day the digest should arrive.

This is useful if you want to stay informed without being interrupted by frequent emails throughout the day.

Health Score Alerts

If you use the Profile Health Score feature, you can configure alerts for:

  • Score drops — Get notified if your health score falls by a certain number of points (configurable threshold: 5, 10, 15, or 20 points).
  • Milestones — Be alerted when your score reaches a notable level.

The Notification Center

The notification bell in the platform header shows your unread count. Click it to open the notification center where you can read notifications, mark them as read, or clear them. You can also filter by type or view only unread items.
