Understanding Account Limits and Grace Periods
How Account Limits Work
Each subscription tier allows you to connect a certain number of Google Business Profile accounts. The Accounts page shows your current usage and how many slots are available. If you try to connect more accounts than your plan allows, you will be asked to upgrade or disconnect an existing account first.
What Happens When You Downgrade
If you switch to a plan with a lower account limit and you already have more accounts connected than the new plan allows, the excess accounts are flagged as "over limit." They are not removed immediately. Instead, you get a 30-day grace period to decide what to do.
The Grace Period
During the 30-day grace period:
- Your over-limit accounts continue to function normally.
- You will see a warning on the Accounts page showing which accounts are over the limit, the grace period deadline, and how many days remain.
- You will receive notifications reminding you to take action.
You have two options to resolve the situation:
- Upgrade your plan to one that supports more accounts.
- Disconnect excess accounts to bring your total within the new limit.
After the Grace Period
If you do not resolve the over-limit situation within 30 days, the excess accounts are automatically deactivated. Deactivated accounts keep all their data (posts, analytics, history), but they stop syncing, publishing, and collecting new data until they are reactivated.
Reactivating Accounts
If you upgrade your plan later, previously deactivated accounts can be restored. The system reactivates the most recently deactivated accounts first, up to the number of available slots in your new plan.
