Troubleshooting

I Cannot Connect My Google Business Profile

Check Your Google Account Access

To connect a Google Business Profile, the Google account you sign in with must have ownership or management access to the business listing. If you sign in with a personal Google account that does not manage any business profiles, no locations will appear for selection.

Verify your access by going to business.google.com and confirming you can see the listing there.

Grant All Requested Permissions

During the connection process, Google asks you to grant GBPCentral permission to manage your business listings. If you decline or skip any permission, the connection will fail. Make sure you click "Allow" when prompted by Google.

Check for Missing Refresh Token

In rare cases, Google may not provide a refresh token during authorization. This happens if your browser has cached a previous authorization or if the consent screen is skipped. If you see an error about a missing refresh token:

  1. Go to your Google Account Permissions page.
  2. Find GBPCentral in the list of connected apps and remove it.
  3. Go back to GBPCentral and try connecting again. Google will show the full consent screen this time.

Account Limit Reached

If you have already connected the maximum number of accounts your subscription plan allows, you will not be able to add more. Either upgrade your plan or disconnect an existing account to free up a slot.

Browser Issues

If the connection process hangs or fails to redirect properly:

  • Clear your browser cookies and try again.
  • Disable browser extensions that might block pop-ups or redirects.
  • Try a different browser.
  • Make sure cookies and JavaScript are enabled.

Still Having Trouble

If none of the above resolves the issue, open a support ticket with the error message you are seeing. Include which Google account you are trying to connect and what step the process fails at.
