I Am Not Receiving Notifications
Check Your Notification Preferences
The first thing to check is whether the notifications you expect are actually enabled. Go to Notifications in the sidebar, then click Preferences. Make sure the relevant notification types have email delivery or in-app delivery turned on.
Check Email Delivery
If you are not receiving notification emails:
- Check your spam or junk folder. Email providers sometimes filter automated messages.
- Make sure the email address on your GBPCentral account is correct. Go to your Profile page to verify it.
- If you are using a digest instead of individual emails, notifications are batched and sent at the time you configured. Check your digest settings to see when the next delivery is scheduled.
Check In-App Notifications
In-app notifications appear in the notification center, which is accessible from the bell icon in the platform header. If the bell does not show a count:
- Click it to open the notification center and check if there are any items.
- Make sure you have not cleared all notifications recently.
- Verify that in-app delivery is enabled in your preferences for the notification types you care about.
Deduplication
GBPCentral has a deduplication system that prevents the same notification from being sent multiple times within a short window. If you expect a notification about an event that already triggered one recently, it may have been suppressed as a duplicate.
Account Status
Notifications related to specific Google Business Profile accounts (like review alerts or verification changes) are only generated for active accounts. If the account is disconnected or in an error state, notifications for that account may not be triggered.
