Setting Up Recurring Posts

What Are Recurring Posts

Recurring posts let you set up a single post that repeats automatically on a schedule you define. This is ideal for weekly specials, monthly reminders, or any content that follows a regular pattern. Instead of creating the same post over and over, you create it once and let the system handle the rest.

Setting Up a Recurring Schedule

  1. Create a new post with your content, image, and other settings.
  2. Enable the Recurring option in the post form.
  3. Choose a frequency:
    • Daily — Repeats every day or every N days.
    • Weekly — Repeats on specific days of the week (for example, every Monday and Thursday).
    • Monthly — Repeats on the same day of each month.
  4. Set a recurrence end date to define when the series should stop.
  5. Save the post. The system will generate individual scheduled instances for each occurrence.

Managing a Recurring Series

After creating a recurring post, you can view the full series from the Recurring Posts section (accessible from the Posts menu). There you will see:

  • The master post with all its settings.
  • A list of every scheduled instance and its status (pending, published, failed).
  • Counts showing how many instances have been published, are pending, or have failed.

Skipping Specific Dates

Sometimes you need to skip a particular occurrence, for example, if your business is closed on a holiday. You can add skip dates to the series, and the system will cancel the instance on that date without affecting the rest of the schedule.

Editing a Recurring Series

If you update the master post, you have the option to apply those changes to all future instances that have not been published yet. Already-published instances will remain as they were. If you change the recurrence pattern or end date, the system will regenerate the future schedule to match your new settings.

Cancelling a Series

You can cancel an entire recurring series at any time. This will mark the master post as cancelled and stop all pending instances from being published. Instances that have already been published will not be removed from Google.
