Profile Health Score: How It Works

What Is the Profile Health Score

The Profile Health Score gives you a single number that represents how well your Google Business Profile is set up and maintained. It combines multiple factors into one easy-to-understand rating, so you can quickly see where things stand and what needs attention.

Score Categories

Your overall score is calculated from several categories, each measuring a different aspect of your profile:

  • Profile Completeness — Whether your business information (name, address, phone, hours, website, category) is fully filled out.
  • Posting Activity — How regularly you publish posts. Consistent posting signals an active business.
  • Review Health — Your average rating, review volume, and how often you respond to reviews.
  • Photo Freshness — Whether your profile photos are current and regularly updated.
  • Engagement Signals — How customers interact with your listing (clicks, calls, directions).

Viewing Your Score

Go to the Health Score section from the sidebar. You will see your overall score along with a breakdown by category. Each category shows its individual score and specific recommendations for improvement.

Score Trends

GBPCentral tracks your health score over time so you can see whether it is improving, declining, or holding steady. The trend chart shows daily scores, making it easy to correlate changes with specific actions you have taken (like increasing your posting frequency or responding to reviews).

Alerts

You can set up alerts in your notification preferences to be notified when your score drops below a certain threshold or when you hit a milestone. This way, you do not have to check the score manually; you will be notified when something needs your attention.

Comparing Accounts

If you manage multiple locations, you can compare health scores across accounts. This comparison helps you identify which locations need more attention and which ones are performing well.

Exporting

Health score data can be exported as CSV or PDF files. This is useful for client reporting if you manage profiles on behalf of others, or for internal tracking and presentation purposes.
