Getting Started

Connecting Your Google Business Profile

Before You Start

To connect your Google Business Profile, you need a Google account that has ownership or management access to the business listing you want to manage. If you are not sure whether you have the right access, check your permissions in Google Business Profile directly.

Step-by-Step Connection

  1. Go to Accounts in the sidebar.
  2. Click the Connect Account button.
  3. You will be redirected to Google's sign-in page. Log in with the Google account that manages your business profile.
  4. Google will ask you to grant GBPCentral permission to manage your business listings. Click Allow.
  5. After authorization, you will see a list of all business locations tied to that Google account.
  6. Select the locations you want to manage through GBPCentral.
  7. Click Save to complete the connection.

What Permissions Are Required

GBPCentral requests the "business.manage" permission from Google. This allows the platform to:

  • Read your business information (name, address, phone, hours)
  • Create and manage posts on your profile
  • Access performance metrics and analytics
  • Read and respond to customer reviews

GBPCentral does not modify your core business information. It only works with posts, analytics, and reviews.

Multiple Locations

If your Google account manages more than one business location, you can select as many as your subscription plan allows. Each location is treated as a separate account in GBPCentral. You can manage them all from your account list and post to them individually or in bulk.

Account Limits

The number of accounts you can connect depends on your subscription tier. If you reach your limit, you will need to upgrade your plan or disconnect an existing account before adding a new one. The Accounts page shows how many slots you have used.

After Connecting

Once connected, GBPCentral will sync your business details and begin collecting analytics data. This first sync may take a few moments. After that, your account will sync automatically on a regular schedule to keep your data current.
