In the world of SEO, duplicate content can cause lots of problems for the content provider. Duplicate content within the same website that is located on several pages of the website itself may result in a sort of disorientation when trying to find the exact location of the content in order to show it.
This disorientation is similar to becoming lost on a road with several signs that are directing you to different locations that may lead to the same place, but how can you be sure. Search Engines experience this same uncertainty when duplicate content occurs and it is not sure which content to chose from. It is important to be aware of the proper coding techniques in order to ensure the search engine knows what content is the most important on your website.
With this duly noted, all is not lost, and yes, we can still use SEO for the purpose of attracting attention to web content. It is just extremely important to be sure to do this correctly as to not offend, or confuse, the powers that be at certain search engines whom shall remain nameless. Because, the search engines hierarchy has the ability to penalize the site, by not displaying any of its’ content at all. There are a couple of good ways to assure that the proper and best coding for your site is used for SEO, either research and study by way of an experienced coach or teacher, or outsource your work to a reputable internet content writer. Someone that has had a very good track record at helping people solve their internet marketing issues.
It is not necessary to invest a fortune to learn how to properly input good coding onto your site to ensure the best content you have to offer. However, good duplicate content does not come free, and obtaining it with the best end results, is well worth any investment in the end. The best end results will be that you will acquire much more traffic to your site, which in turn will increase your sales.
Word press seems to be one of the most used, for websites and blogs now days, and the WordPress site features some of the most popular internet marketing tutorials to point newbies in the right direction.
In wordpress there are few duplicate content created like date based,category based tag based and each author has his own archive too.So in essence there are duplicate content created in 5 pages besides the single page where it should be available.
We can get rid of duplicate content by allowing them to be spidered but not indexed by search engines.
Install this Robots Meta Plugin and configure the plugin settings so that prevent indexing of all archive pages.
